Ugnayan: Building Connection among Megawide Scholars

From Empowering E-zine – Issue: Q3-Q4, 2024

On October 12, Megawide Foundation hosted its third MeGabay session at La Mesa Ecopark, Quezon City, gathering 59 graduates, new high school, and college scholars for the first time. With the theme “Ugnayan”, the session fostered self-awareness, camaraderie, interpersonal connections, stress management, and a deeper understanding of the scholars’ ties to their peers and environment.

The day began with a guided tour of La Mesa Ecopark, led by the Manila Water Foundation team, highlighting biodiversity and encouraging mindfulness. This was followed by a session facilitated by mental heal professional and educator Mr. Anthony Edward Herrero, who shared insights on mindfulness and led team-building exercises to strengthen relationships among the scholars.
