On July 24, 2024, Typhoon Carina’s heavy rains caused severe flooding across Metro Manila, Rizal, and other parts of Luzon, devastating properties and livelihoods of numerous families. Megawide Foundation swiftly mobilized its disaster response team to aid affected employees and our host communities.
Forty-six Megawide volunteers repacked relief goods, while the Foundation, in coordination with the Group Crisis Committee, CSR Champions, and local government units, distributed over 400 relief packs to those in need. The PCS safety team was also in standby to assist Megawide employees who needed immediate rescue.
The Foundation launched another relief operation to support the communities in Metro Manila and Rizal impacted by Typhoon Enteng. Over 150 families from the PH1, PCS, and PITX host communities will receive essential relief supplies.
Demonstrating solidarity and commitment, employees from the Corporate office stepped up as volunteers to help prepare the relief packages.
