Megawide Foundation celebrated its newest bacth of scholars for the Megawide Scholarship Program (MSP) with the Salu-Salo para sa Scholars Jacket Ceremony on November 6, 2024, at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria. The event brought together the scholar’s families, Megawide executives, university leaders, and social workers.
Following a rigorous selection process, the Foundation introduced 35 scholars from top universities, including Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Technological University of the Philippines, and University of the Philippines. These students, pursuing diverse field in Engineering, Architecture, Accountancy, and Management, represent the well-rounded execellence that the program envisions.
It was a night filled with inspiring stories of the scholars and valuable sharing from Foundation Chairman, Dir. Celso Vivas, and Megawide Chairman and CEO Engr. Edgar Saavedra. The scholars and University partners also had the opportunity to engage with Megawide’s leaders, including Dir. Vivas, Foundation President Teresa Saavedra, Foundation Independent Trustee Paulette Liu, and Megawide Construction COO Frederick Tan.
Through MSP, scholars receive significant financial support, leadership training, and psychosocial workshops with the Foundation’s MeGabay sessions, equipping them for both academic and personal success.
