In October 2024, Megawide Foundation, through its MegaTulong initiative, extended aid to over 300 families affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, the most devastating cyclone of the year, impacting 8.8 million people and causing P6.2B in agricultural damage (Source: DA DRRM-OC).
Mobilizing 47 volunteers, the Foundation distributed more than 200 relief pails with food, water, sacks of rice, and cleaning supplies, focusing on hard-hit areas like Batangas and Bicol, including Angat Buhay Foundation, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Philippine Constrcution Association Inc., and New Hope Church, exemplifying the power of partnership in disaster response.
The Foundation recognizes the invaluable support our subsidaries, PITX, PCS, and Citicore, in the repacking and distribution of relief aid to our affected employees and host communities.
