We kicked off this year’s first MeGabay learning session, “Preparing for the Transition: From Student to Professional Life”, to bridge the gap between academia and the “real world”.
The session’s program first outlines how they can emotionally and professionally prepaer themselves for the transition, which was discussed by Att. Mia Castro, Consultant to the Foundation. Ms. Jovie Silvestre, HoldCo talent Acquisition Manager then shared practical tips on acing their job interviews from an HR perspective. Last but not the least, Mr. Mark Paul Flores the Director for HR Business Partnership and Operations of EPC, presented what it’s like to be in the corporate jungle.
At the end of the session, empowered with Atty. Castro’s emotional intelligence strategies, Ms, Silvestre’s interview-acing tactics, and Mr. Flores’s insider knowledge of the corporate world, these scholar graduates are no longer just stepping into the “real world” – they’re conquering it.
