From Empowering E-zine – Issue: Q3-Q4, 2024
On December 3, 2024, Megawide Foundation, in pertnersip with Good Neighbors Philippines, a non-profit organization that foster social and economic development of communities, turned over a Rainwater Catchment Facility in Sitio Bakal, Barangay Bagong Silang, Quezon City. This sustainable solution addresses the community’s struggles with limited clean water access for domestic use and recurring floods during typhoons.
Foundation Executive Director Atty. Mia Castro and Good Neighbors Philippines Country Director Jae Choon Lee led the ribbon-cutting alongside local officials and community members. The project highlights the power of partnership and community ownership in driving meaningful change.
